Discrimination

Discrimination comes in many forms, but generally, it involves:

  • Failing to hire an applicant or discharging, demoting, or promoting an employee
  • Posting a job that indicates a preference
  • Retaliating against an employee for opposing unlawful business practices or decisions

If you believe you were a victim of discrimination, you will need to file a claim with the appropriate agency, which will result in an investigation to resolve the matter or, if the matter cannot be resolved amicably, litigation.
